Philadelphia Bar Foundation Award

The Philadelphia Bar Foundation Award, originally established by the Apothaker family in honor of Louis D. Apothaker, recognizes a public interest attorney who is dedicating his or her life to promoting equal access to justice for all by working in the non-profit legal services community. 


Marsha I. Cohen, Esq., Executive Director, Homeless Advocacy Project (HAP)

Under Marsha'a leadership for the last 18 years, HAP has become a local and national model of excellence in legal aid, making a huge impact in the Philadelphia region, statewide, and across the country. HAP meets the legal and advocacy needs of homeless individuals and families in Philadelphia has helped over 40,000 members of the City's homeless population; making their voices heard and letting them know they are not alone.
