Justice Matters: How the Courts Could Help End Gun Violence
Event Information
Event Details
Gun violence is on the rise in Pennsylvania, and is disproportionally affecting people of color. Family members of gun violence victims, the City of Philadelphia, CeaseFirePA, Hogan Lovells, and Public Interest Law Center are teaming together to put an end to Pennsylvania’s Firearm Preemption Laws. Crawford v Commonwealth of Pennsylvania asks the court to strike down the Firearm Preemption Laws so that Philadelphia and other municipalities can enact new measures to protect citizens against gun violence.
The next Justice Matters panel discussion will cover Crawford v Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from the people who know it best. Speakers include:
- Jasmeet Ahuja, Hogan Lovells
