Equal Justice Center Part of Pennrose Presentation to PRA
This spring, the Philadelphia Bar Foundation and partner, Pennrose, made a presentation for the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority, set to determine what will be built on the City’s 8th and Race Streets site.
A highlight in the Pennrose and Philadelphia Bar Foundation proposal is the Equal Justice Center, a building the first of its kind in the United States. More than satisfying the city’s request for each proposal to have a robust “social impact” section, the Equal Justice Center will co-locate about a couple dozen legal aid agencies. Most importantly, the Equal Justice Center will create a one-stop shop resource for Philadelphians while providing a better quality of life for Chinatown residents.
