Equal Justice Center Featured by the American Bar Association
The American Bar Association (ABA) profiled the Philadelphia Equal Justice Center – a building that will set a new national standard for access to justice. The article was written by Offit Kurman’s Sathima Jones, a contributing writer for the ABA.
The Philadelphia Equal Justice Center will be built at 8th & Race Streets in Chinatown and will co-locate almost 20 legal aid organizations that are currently spread across the city. The Philadelphia Bar Foundation is spearheading this project which will make it possible for a single litigant to travel to one location to get answers for various legal questions and problems. The Equal Justice Center will create a unified client intake process and other streamlined resources to simplify the legal aid process for individuals and families. This substantial collaborative venture is the first of its kind in the United States.
