Philadelphia Bar Foundation Statement on Anti-Asian Attacks

The Philadelphia Bar Foundation strongly denounces this week's killings in Georgia and the increasing level of violence against Asian-American citizens. Since the pandemic began, acts against Asian-Americans have increased 150%. Our brothers and sisters are being harassed, ambushed, verbally and physically assaulted, and killed in unprovoked attacks.

The Board and Staff of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation decry this violence and stand in solidarity with the Asian-American community. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said that "hate begets hate and violence begets violence..." We must call for a stop to these shameless acts and work together to find our shared humanity.
